Season's Greetings. The Unkmown Capper has taken a bit of a hiatus from SBR, but is back for the college bowl season. See, unlike most of you douchebags on here, I actually have a full-time career with employees and customers who are depending on me, plus my cat has been more needy as of late, and I had to spend more time playing with him and the laser pointer. The Bowl Season is make it or break it time. And if you're like me and have done a lot of 'breakin' it' all season, this is...

I hate making picks the night before, but it's now or never. Saturday's picks...
2.5 Units
Kentucky -9 @ Indiana
Hmmm. I guess IU's upset of Pitt gives us this line value. Simply put though, these two teams are on different levels.
1.5 Units
UNLV -2 vs. Kansas St.
KSUs first true away game, and UNLV has already proven themselves as a dominant home team
DENVER +9 @ Portland
Denver is the best team that nobody knows anything about
1 Unit
Washington +2 vs. G'Town
This will be the Huskies breakout game. G'Town has overachieved a bit thus far.
Kansas -21.5 vs. LaSalle

Lots of juicy selections tonight. Its frigid outside, time turn up the heater, grab a six pack and get my espn360.com going. Wednesday selections...
2 Units BUFFALO +8.5 @ Niagara (-104) This is a very competitive rivalry, and Buffalo has enough experience to hang close. Plus, they already have 2 true road wins.
NEW MEXICO ML @ San Diego (-215) NM is quietly kicking everyone's ass, whereas SD is really starting to struggle shooting the ball.
IDAHO +7 @ Wash St. (-104) Idaho has already won @ Utah, and dismantled Portland over the weekend. This game is also a...

Love these early season tourneys. The Puerto Rico tourney is always fun, but it's scary to think that this third world cesspool could be a U. S. State in the near future. Anywho, here are Thursday's picks. Nothing stands out as a strong pick, so all will be for 1 unit...
DAYTON pk vs. Georgia Tech
Both teams will end up in the Big Dance, but I like Dayton's experience combined with the fact thay've already had a tough opponent (Creighton) to give them the edge.
OLE MISS -9 vs. Indiana
Until IU can convince me...

Seriously people, the hate mail and death threats have to end. Plus, I'd prefer if you'd leave my mother's sexual promiscuity out of it. A few bounces didn't go my way, and the U.C. Nation is on verge of a Civil War after a disappointing week. Let me tell all of you something..the Unknown Capper is not a quitter, and he is not deterred by criticism. He is, however, clinically manic depressive, so hopefully all the harsh words won't cause him to spiral into a deep depression.
Before I start my selections, I just got word from...

The Unknown Capper is down, but not out (of money). It was a disappointing week for the U.C. Nation, mainly because so many games looked to be in the bag, but fell apart at the last minute. All you jealous haters can say what you want, but only two of my losses were clear cut.
Oh, and to Houlihans...You should be more concerned about losing your virginity, than gloating over my bad week. BTW, I see you took my advice and got rid of you gay Texas Stadium avatar, and replaced with your new homosexual crush.
Before I...

Now that the Unknown Capper has become the new #1 NCAA Football Handicapper on this Forum, the SBR people asked me if I would write a brief summary on the past week's news and notes in the gambling world. I, of course, told them 'no,' because the Unknown Capper plays by his own rules and answers to nobody. But then I thought of you, my followers, and how you all starve for my wit and wisdom. So this, my children, is for you.

Before people start giving me their juvenile b.s. about how i'm a fraud, let me remind you of few things, children.
#1. Though I went 4-6 in my posted selections, the SMU/Tulsa Over doesn't really count b/c I never bet totals anyway, and I guarantee nodody tailed that pick. So Being 4-5 in Sides is pretty good. Think about it... A .444 figure is outstanding. It's been 40+ years since a ML Baseball player has hit .400 for a season. If you shoot .400 from 3-point land in basketball, you're a phenom. I had...

Week 5 Selections. I'm Due.
BYU -23.5 vs Utah St. (1 unit)
BYU has the tendency to play down to weaker opponents, as seen in this game last year where they got off to a huge lead but let Utah get a 2nd half cover by folding it in that half. Despite the crushing loss to Florida St., BYU still has a chance to make a BCS game, and I don't think Max Hall will let his team tank it the rest of the way. BYU 38-10
